You are so brilliant, Verna...thanks for sharing your heart! Love you! S

Perfect letter.

My BFF is going through a very rough patch right now but she is so completely no-nonsense about it, she makes me laugh so hard.
5CM brain tumour and she's telling me to grow up and stop being so worried.
Sounds like your beloved Mona.

Dear Verna, I just now found this online. I was searching you so I could hopefully, secretly, find the name of your betrothed- so embarrassed I don't have it memorized yet. What a gift to find your letter. It's absolutely perfect. I wondered if I was the only one that felt the 10 year anniversary coming. The only thing my letter would say differently is that there has yet to be a period of "days and days" without thinking of her. I'll admit there has been two, maybe three, days in which I haven't thought of her and talked to her.
On one of the last times I saw my mom I stuck a sticky note to her mirror in the bathroom as she showered. It was on one of the days we found out how bad the cancer was still, or again, I'm not sure now. It was a terrible day. The note said "I love you Mom. I am with you every second. I thank God for you. Son One." I say those words to her every day still.
I appreciate you so much Verna. Thank you for writing this. I love you and hope we'll all get to meet up somehow soon. - Wayde
